LIU Peng is a senior research fellow in the Institute of American Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Beijing, China; and a non-residential fellow at the Center for the Study of Law and Religion, Emory University Law School, Atlanta, Georgia. LIU is also the founder and director of Beijing Pu Shi Institute for Social Sciences, the only think tank institute working on the issues of religion and rule of law in China since 1999. Liu is considered one of the most influential advocators for religious freedom and the rule of law in China with his own institute and website.

At this seminar, LIU Peng will elaborate on what he considers the top ten issues affecting religion and the rule of law in modern day China. His talk will address:
