International NGOs (INGOs) of all stripes are facing the challenge of being effective and accountable in a fast-changing context, marked by rapid technological change, geopolitical power shifts, politicization of humanitarian efforts, and deeper questioning of INGO legitimacy.  This study group considers how major INGOs are positioned for future challenges.

Ramesh Singh has spent much of his adult life working first hand on development issues in Asia and Africa, and had a 20-year career at ActionAid. He was a Visiting Fellow at the Hauser Center in 2010-2011.
